A simple plain weave, the foundation of all weaving, forms the weaving technique used in this towel. A thin and supple linen towel that quickly absorbs water and then dries fast. An all-purpose towel, but we especially want to highlight that it is perfect for drying glasses. We weave this towel with unbleached linen yarn in both warp and weft for the best absorbency and minimal environmental impact. With a simple and timeless stripe pattern, it becomes a little jewel in the kitchen. The inspiration comes from the old linen towels here in Hälsingland, which were woven for precisely this purpose and had modest stripes at each end as their only decoration.
Linen has the unique property of absorbing moisture better and then drying faster than any other natural material. A dishcloth made entirely of linen absorbs effectively and can be used to dry completely. The dishcloth is woven in a technique that makes it porous and flexible. It dries quickly and therefore never develops a sour smell, nor does it harbor bacteria.
Before first use, and whenever needed, the linen dishcloth can be machine-washed at 60°C or boiled in a pot of water on the stove. Linen comes from nature, so when the cloth has reached the end of its life, it can be composted.
