Sleying

When we're introducing a new product or transferring a product to another loom, the warp needs to be sleyed, meaning each thread in the warp needs to be threaded by hand into the loom. This process largely determines the pattern along with the pattern card. Depending on the width and density of the future fabric, where each of up to 4000 threads needs to be threaded by hand, this process takes between 1-2 weeks for two people.
