30 Years of Timeless Design
Imagine a product that, after 30 years, still feels contemporary and useful—that's the case with our Sara Glass Towel, now celebrating its 30th anniversary!
When our designer Ingela Berntsson began her work on a collection for Växbo Lin, her starting point was practical items designed to be both beautiful and functional in everyday life. Her inspiration came from the traditional linen textiles here in Hälsingland, woven specifically for this purpose.
A simple plain weave, the foundation of all weaving, forms the technique for this towel. It’s a thin, supple linen towel that quickly absorbs water and dries just as fast. With a strong linen feel, it features natural, undyed linen in both warp and weft, accented with subtle stripes at each end as the only pattern. It’s an “all-purpose towel,” yet thanks to its fine, smooth quality, it makes the perfect linen towel for drying glass.
To celebrate 30 years of timeless design, we’re introducing our popular Sara Glass Towel in three new colours. Inspired by the beautiful autumn hues, we’re releasing a limited-edition version with stripes in terracotta, brown, and umber. These colours are available in limited quantities, so don’t miss out!
A kitchen towel with a great linen feel.
A linen towel doesn't shed, quickly absorbs water, and dries fast. This makes it perfect for drying glasses. It pairs well with Bubbel or Storm towels as a set in the kitchen, one towel for drying glassware and another for hands. They look stylish together and are easy to distinguish which towel is for what. Our popular dishcloth is also available in the same color schemes to create a cohesive look in the kitchen.
The Sara towel is the first pattern that our designer, Ingela Berntsson, created when Växbo Lin started. The inspiration comes from the old linen towels here in Hälsingland that were woven for this purpose, with humble stripes at each end as the only pattern.
